The Story
Adelaide morwen is a peculiar ponderer who found her personality and belonging through the world of fashion and creativity. She is fascinated by life, death, dreams, mystery, surrealism, and fantasy, and her passion for these things is evident in her designs, novels, and outfits. After discovering the freedom that being herself and the world of gothic fashion brought her, she created Button the Birdcage (initially called DickensVerneDoyle) to bring her imaginary worlds to life through her novels, mystery boxes, and jewelry. She helps the odd people in the world find themselves by creating a safe space for them through fashion, her little creations, jewelry, and immersive worlds woven into her stories.
Her first time coming into the social media scene went very well, gaining 800 followers in one year on Pinterest, despite being brand new to that world. Her posts for her upcoming Novel Puppets and Pawns, garnered over 15,000 views and nearly a thousand saves in a few months, with the help of her street team that she quickly got together while creating a community of book lovers, such as herself.
Right now, her page focuses primarily on literature, aesthetics, her novels, and fashion, highlighting items from companies she admires and the outfits she wears. She currently has four women models for her upcoming fashion releases, and has purchased supplies for her works in progress, such as her jewelry, book binding, sewing, wardrobe shopping services, tea making, and perfume making.
She plans to expand soon into hosting a literature and whimsy podcast, as well as release music she’s been composing over the past four years.
